Max Fabricant, Esq.


Max received his Bachelor of Science from Elon University in 2015, where he graduated with magna cum laude, President’s List, and Leadership Fellowship distinctions. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he spent two years working in marketing positions at Interscope Records in Santa Monica. In 2017, he left Interscope to attend law school so that he could help creatives in the music and entertainment industries as an attorney. He received his Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law in 2020.


While at William & Mary Law School, Max served as an active member of the Student Intellectual Property Society, the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and the Vice President of the Business Law Society. He participated in the law school’s Alternative Dispute Resolution and Transactional Law competition teams and served as a contributor and Notes Editor on the William & Mary Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice (RGSJ). During his law school semesters, Max worked on civil litigation matters as a legal extern for the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia (“LASEVA”) and Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP in Williamsburg, Virginia.


In 2018, Max returned to Santa Monica to serve as the summer intern in Interscope Records’ Business and Legal Affairs department. In 2019, Max served as the legal intern at Serling Rooks Hunter McKoy Worob & Averill, LLP in New York, New York where he helped represent a wide variety of musicians, songwriters, engineers, and producers. Among his legal education, having professional experiences on each side of the negotiation table provided Max with a well-rounded understanding of the needs and priorities of individuals and entities in the music and entertainment industries. He has experience in drafting and negotiating recording, licensing, employment, non-disclosure, branding and sponsorships agreements, issuing demand, settlement, and cease-and-desist letters, and handling trademark registration and business entity formation.
