Special Counsel

Mr. Nabi serves as Special Counsel to ANAND LAW PC.  Mr. Nabi is a graduate of the Chapman University School of Law, where he was President of the Land Use Society. While at Chapman, Mr. Nabi focused his coursework toward real estate, environmental, and land use law, giving him solid educational background for the practice in which he is presently engaged.


Mr. Nabi has cultivated a strong career in property and business law. He drafts, reviews, and negotiates commercial and residential leases. He also advises tenants on their rights and obligations under a lease, and landlords on how they can remain in compliance with state and federal laws including the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Federal Housing Authority (FHA), and the regulations set forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).


Mr. Nabi is a veteran of the courts, having successfully managed cases through both the state and federal court systems. At the state level, he regularly litigates unlawful detainer and breach of contract cases. He has also had experience in federal court cases involving the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act. He has represented consumers and business debtors through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, resulting in over $1,000,000 in dischargeable debts.


Though he is well versed in conducting trials, Mr. Nabi is also skilled in resolving cases before they ever see the inside of a courtroom, and in some cases, has resolved issues before they ever arose. He has worked with clients facing complaints under the ADA, advising them on risk management strategies that limit their exposure to liability. He also excels as a negotiator, and is committed to minimizing litigation costs for his clients.


Prior to law school, Mr. Nabi attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in history. When he is not in the office, Mr. Nabi enjoys life outdoors, where his hobbies include golf, cycling, skiing and snowboarding. He is also a member of Protect Our Winters (POW), an organization committed to the reducing the impact of global climate change on winter sporting events and the economies of communities that thrive on winter sports.
